Lesson 05 · Bootcamp Ep. 23

News

Core idea

Scheduled news is a volatility boundary: mark it before the session, avoid the first impulse, and let tradable structure form afterward.

Scheduled-news execution timelinePrice consolidates before news, spikes at the release, then forms new structure and a fair value gap. The entry comes after the spike, not during it.pre-news rangerelease · waitnew structureFVG

Filter the calendar

The creator checks USD events and pays most attention to red-folder releases such as CPI, NFP, and FOMC.

8:30 and 10:00

Wait through the release. Do not chase the largest candle; allow market structure and order flow to reform first.

FOMC afternoon

A small morning scalp may be acceptable, but the creator aims to be flat around 11:00 before the 2:00 p.m. announcement.

Quiet-day expectations

Days without major news can be slower and choppier, so reduce runner expectations, scalp, or skip.

Weekly adjustments

NFP week, the day before CPI, and FOMC morning each call for reduced activity in the creator’s plan.
